Graphic Design
Good design isn’t what the page looks like. It’s what the patient understands.
It is not a decoration. It is communication that works.
It is not a flourish at the end – it’s a form of patient care given from the very beginning.
We provide graphic design services for hospitals, private practices, health care specialists and allied health providers across the country and internationally.
Our design services include:
- Banners and graphics for website and video
- Practice logos and brand identity systems
- Social media banners
- Banners for shopping carts
- Newsletter and patient communication templates
- Conference and exhibition materials for events
- Packaging design
- White labelling for health products (e.g. scar cream or sunscreen)
- Patient information brochures and fact sheets
- Clinical and hospital signage, including wayfinding
- Referral letterheads and correspondence templates
- Branding Boards (your colours, your fonts, your messaging)

Why does healthcare design require a specialist provider rather than a general design agency?
In an industry built on trust, efficiency, precision and credibility, graphic design plays a far greater role than being aesthetically beautiful.
Medical marketing must communicate complex information that is often sensitive, and it must be delivered compellingly and clearly.
Well-executed design is the bridge between clinical accuracy and human understanding.
Design should account for real emotional states: users are often anxious, unwell or worried about a loved one, not just casually browsing.
Good design shapes how information is understood, how trust is built and how organisations connect with people during some of the most consequential moments of their lives.
Authentic imagery with real patients and real providers builds trust more than generic stock photos of doctors in white coats that are rarely worn in Australia outside of laboratories.
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”
~ Steve Jobs, Co-founder of Apple.
What does a typical engagement with DigiMed Australia look like?
Just as medical teams adapt a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, we combine the services of a university-qualified, Google-certified digital strategist with an experienced hospital marketer and health journalist for improved User Experience (UX).
We then add our designers into the mix, some of the smartest pixels on the screen when it comes to palette choice, graphics and organising medical information in a beautiful way.
Projects begin with a scoping discussion to establish the client’s patient base, brand position and objectives.
We then develop initial concepts, incorporate client feedback through a structured revisions process and deliver the final assets.
Larger projects, such as full signage systems or complete brand identities are typically structured in phases: research and strategy, concept development, refinement, and delivery of production-ready files.
“Trust is the currency of healthcare design and every visual choice should make patients feel safe choosing that provider.”
What does your agency offer that other agencies may not?
Accessibility is treated as a baseline requirement rather than an add-on.
This covers colour contrast, typography sizing and layout choices suited to patients with visual or cognitive impairment.
We provide graphic design that translates complexity into accessible infographics, icons that explain how a treatment works or guide a patient through a care pathway.
We pride ourselves on design and storytelling that evokes empathy and reassurance without resorting to exaggerated claims.
We let the design tell the story, because a well-chosen photograph, a calming colour palette or thoughtful whitespace can communicate care and professionalism in ways that copy alone cannot.
Importantly, healthcare is a highly regulated industry and operates under tighter constraints than most industries.
Can existing materials be revised rather than replaced entirely?
This is a common starting point for clients.
Many practices approach us with an outdated logo, inconsistent stationery or signage that no longer reflects the practice’s current name or location.
We will audit existing materials, retain elements with established brand recognition – for instance a colour scheme patients already associate with the practice, and rebuild the remainder.
What file formats are provided on delivery and can clients use them independently afterwards?
Final delivery includes formats appropriate to end use: print-ready PDFs, high-resolution web and social assets, and editable source files where relevant. Larger projects also include brand guidelines, allowing an internal team or a future external designer to maintain consistency without requiring further input from DigiMed for routine updates.
What separates “press-ready” from “we’ll fix it on the file”?
Spec sheet matching from day one.
We guarantee that once you send us your spec sheet – colours and fonts – every job we ship afterwards will match it. No back-and-forth at the press.
Pantone & CMYK colour management.
Brand colours called out by Pantone references; specialty inks and finishes isolated on named layers.
Source files for every variant.
AI, EPS, PSD, PDF source files included.
Re-export at any size, customise per region, swap text without redesigning from scratch.
Does DigiMed take on clients outside metropolitan areas?
Yes. The client base includes practices and hospitals in metropolitan, regional and rural locations. Consultations, concept reviews and file handovers are conducted remotely, with coordination extended to a client’s preferred local printer or signage installer where required.
Do you provide white labelling for product packaging?
Yes. Whether it’s a scar cream, personalised patient after-care flyers or a brochure for your business, our graphic design is a service model where you can scale design to capacity without hiring full-time designers.
DigiMed will also be the overarching strategy partner, managing design at every stage.
How does design work in your agency?
We work on two levels and across multiple time zones – which results in a faster turnaround for clients.
The bulk of design work happens with a highly experienced international design agency which guarantees DigiMed clients a turnaround within 48 hours* from the time you send us the brief.
This is significantly faster than many agency timelines which often take days or sometimes weeks to turn around a few website banners.
We also have a team of local designers and design interns who can then perform small tweaks where further urgency is required for a web go-live, event or print run.
This business model means faster, more efficient work across multiple time zones.
It also means clients don’t have to pay the high costs of an in-house designer or navigate the inconsistency of freelancers.
You will always get local, Australian oversight, strategy and management.
Of course our journalists, editors, proofreaders and AI specialists ensure that the content is polished, accurate and optimised for visibility.
For large projects, our AI, strategy and design teams meet together weekly to break down silos, so no one is working in isolation.
This works like “multi-disciplinary meetings” held in hospitals.
It builds trust and shared context, making collaboration faster and more effective when urgent issues come up.
In other words, we can pull together like a “mini medical newsroom” when the moment calls for it – moving fast, staying coordinated and getting the right message out under pressure.
