FAQs
Do you only work with doctors, or other healthcare businesses too?
Our surgical specialties cover areas like dermatology, oncology, orthopaedics, obstetrics, bariatric surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, cardiovascular and vascular surgery.
We also work with AHPs such as dietitians, psychologists and physiotherapists as well as NDIS service providers.
If your field isn’t listed, get in touch.
We have worked with hundreds of health professionals over the years, and likely still have relevant experience.
Yes. While we have offices in Sydney and Melbourne, we work with healthcare practices across Australia, including regional areas, via video calls and remote collaboration and can also work with clients overseas.
How is DigiMed different from a general marketing agency?
While most marketing agencies learn healthcare from a brief, we have hands-on experience learning from the inside of hospital boardrooms, clinical wards, lecture theatres and the newsrooms of Australia’s leading news organisations.
While a generalist agency can build you a website that looks pretty, it may not have heading structure compliant with Australian Standards accessibility guidelines, potentially creating a regulatory headache six months later.
We understand AHPRA advertising requirements, how patients search for care, and how to communicate clinical information clearly and with a strong focus on compliance.
We don’t publicise vague “vanity metrics”. But we show you the evidence when you ask, with clear monthly performance analytics, detailing month-on-month growth tracking.
Do you offer photography and video, or just written content?
Both. We have experienced news photographers and videographers who have frequently worked in government and private clinical environments.
We can shoot patient storytelling, theatre footage, condition and treatment videos as well as “how it works” explainer videos.
Consumers have moved well beyond a linear funnel when it comes to their viewing habits.
Research in 2026 confirms Australians already watch an average of 21.1 hours of online video a week, according to independent research commissioned by IAB Australia*, the peak industry body for digital advertising in Australia.
And as traditional TV viewing continues to decline, that share of attention keeps shifting further online.
Attention alone isn’t the whole story either.
It also matters where people place their trust.
In a survey of over 10,000 consumers*, Google and Boston Consulting Group found video content was rated 1.5x more attention-grabbing, 1.7x more relevant, and over twice as trustworthy as content on social platforms — the same qualities a patient is weighing when choosing where to seek care.

What content management system do you use for websites?
It’s the biggest player
WordPress is by far the most popular CMS for individual and small-to-mid-sized doctor and specialist websites, both in Australia and globally.
It’s generally accepted as the platform of choice for most web design and marketing agencies.
It’s also by far the most popular healthcare CMS among agencies serving this space.
WordPress powers nearly half of all websites on the internet overall, which is a big part of why it’s the default for medical practice sites too.
Cost and speed for small-to-mid practice sites
Doctors and specialists generally don’t need custom-built software, they need a professional site live quickly and affordably.
WordPress lets an agency spin up a polished, templated site without engineering a platform from scratch.
Client-editable after handover
Once the site launches, the practice’s own staff (a practice manager, for example) can update opening hours, add a new doctor bio, or swap a photo without calling the agency every time. That’s much harder with a custom-coded site.
The plugin ecosystem covers most of what a medical site needs
SEO plugins (Yoast, RankMath) handle a lot of the on-page optimisation our agency sells as a service.
Security plugins cover the “Website Security” offering, and accessibility plugins are all readily available rather than needing custom development.
For shopping carts, we can also deploy Shopify or for larger hospital websites we can use Drupal or other systems.
What services do you offer?
We offer a full range of services, with flexibility to grow your pages or advertising budget as you grow.

How do you handle AHPRA advertising compliance?
Although final responsibility rests with the doctor, health advertising is heavily regulated in Australia and we work hard to flag any potential issues that may fly under the radar in a generalist or overseas agency that is not familiar with Australian health care regulations.
What happens if something you create doesn't meet compliance requirements?
Getting this right protects your registration as much as it protects us.
